I genuinely feel that YuGiOh could've been a better serialization had the manga stayed on track before the duel monsters craze hit. There are a few issues I take with the episodic nature of Yami's exploits but given more time I think Kazuki Takahashi could have fleshed out the characters more into more creative scenarios rather than formulating the next duel.
